"Edna Elant's Tookies"

Adrik loves to check out books at the library. One of his most recent finds was called Edna Elephant. The book has several little stories about Edna the Elephant, including one where she is making cookies. Well, she makes the batter, but then proceeds to taste the batter until it is all gone. Hey, who hasn't? Well, Adrik fell in love with this story and has been making us "tookies" ever since. Last weekend, we got out the sugar and flour and let Adrik make cookies--for real! He really enjoyed using the cookie cutters and rolling out the dough. However, he didn't seem to think the dough or the cookies were real great. Oh well, all the more for mommy and daddy!
