Adrik's Gift of Gab!

Adrik went to ISU this morning for his "start of the semester assessment" for his speech preschool. His speech has improved so much on its own, just since the beginning of December, that halfway through the testing his therapist told us he is now within totally normal ranges and even above in some areas, so he no longer needs therapy. We are so thrilled! We're afraid Adrik may be a bit disappointed because he loves that preschool so much, and he's really not old enough to start a regular preschool. But, we may take him to Kid's Korner a couple of times per week now, instead of just once a week; and I'm going to try to get him back into our playgroup at ISU. We have noticed ourselves how much more Adrik has been talking, and how much easier he is to understand, so we were not surprised at the test results. It seems he's finally on the right track! Woo-hoo!!!

Mr. Jantz is also trying to get a few words in, lately. He seems to be picking up on "Mama," and he's also starting to learn a sign or two; we're working on "more" and "drink." We're hoping he'll be as much of a chatter box as his brother is now; but just in case, we're getting an early start on the signing. Both boys are growing like crazy and changing every day......
