Valentine Program Not Filled With Much Love

Adrik's school had a 3 and 4 year old pre-school Valentine's Day program tonight. The program was held in the sanctuary of our church, and the kids sang to a packed house! The 4 year old classes performed first, then there was a powerpoint set to music with pictures of all the kids, and then the 3 year old classes sang. There are some interesting dynamics in Adrik's class, and he seems to be a popular kid!

First, here's a picture of his whole class on stage. The other 3 year old class is to the left, and the 4 year old classes are on risers behind. Starting at the left with the little girl in the colorful skirt and red shirt, the children are: Aurora, Noah, Joel, Adrik, Bryce, Isobel, Cooper, Sarah, Luke and Rebecca.


Adrik's best friend in his class is Joel. He also plays closely with Noah, but apparently there seems to be some competition between Joel and Noah for Adrik's attention. LOL Bryce is the cute, curly-topped little girl in khaki pants and black shirt. At the beginning of the year, she and Adrik and Joel were all very good buddies, but Adrik informed me recently that Bryce now wants to play house instead of lions, so she's not their friend anymore. Anyhow, these 4 little tykes put on quite a side show during the performance tonight!

This is how it started; Joel and Noah both wanted to be the one to stand beside Adrik. (Oh, and if you listen closely at the end you'll hear Adrik tell the teacher he wants to sing the "dig a tunnel song"---his favorite song from Lion King 1.5)

Now Bryce gets in on the act, insisting that Adrik put his teddy bear down and that Joel not get in front of her on stage! LOL

Between the last video and this next one, Joel and Bryce had a pushing match. We pick it up again here, where Joel is now down for the count. Bryce then realizes she has upset Joel and the two go into total meltdown. The librarian, Mrs. Tathum was helping out on the stage and suddenly had her hands very full! The funniest part of the whole thing was that Mrs. Williams, the kids teacher, just continued to sing on through!

I do have to say, despite all this, the program was really cute; and Adrik did an awesome job! He was doing the actions and singing along (when he wasn't being shoved and bossed around! haha) We are so very proud of him!! :)
